VOS Ferrari 488 GTB front viewWhich are the preliminary qualities of a Ferrari? First, it has to be red; secondly – it has to be fast; and third, it has to be beautiful. When one isn't satisfied with its factory 488 GTB, then he or she goes to the doctor (tuner) and changes what they don't like. It is as simple as that!

Quality One: The Color

In case of this project, which is based on the Ferrari 488 GTB and is made by the specialists at VOS Performance (VOS stands for Vision Of Speed), the color has stayed the factory one. It is the emblematic Rosso corsa shade that is popular as being one of the red international motor racing colors of the cars entered by teams from Italy, and literally meaning "racing red". In fact, this color represents history, because it has been utilized since the 1920s for almost all Italian race cars of Alfa Romeo, Maserati, Lancia, Ferrari and Abarth. And this is why we aren't looking for any changes here.

Quality Two: The Speed

Ferrari 488 GBT is officially powered by the 3.9 liter bi-turbo V8 engine, which produces a spectacular 670 hp (493 kW). We must admit that here one should expect more, since we are living in the world of the unlimited possibilities. Hence, the engineers and technicians at VOS have made a three-stage power increase.

If one chooses "Stage 1", then his or her Ferrari will be boosted to 750 hp (552 kW) and 1098 Nm (810 lb-ft) of torque. The next stage offers power uprating of 830 hp (610 kW) and 1165 Nm (860 lb-ft) of torque. At last, for the most capricious clients, VOS has created the "Stage 3", which makes the powertrain pump out 900 hp (662 kW) and 1233 Nm (910 lb-ft) of optimum torque.

There changes also translate to more aggressive acceleration rate that feeds driver's adrenaline.

Quality Three: The Looks

"Beauty comes from the inside", many may say. Well, in the case of this Ferrari: it is all about the outer looks. Although the car looks stunning in its factory variant, the customization team decided to create a sophisticated carbon-outfit for it.

Precisely, here are included lower front, side sills-like spearheads and a multi-part system diffuser at the lower rear. Another notable feature is the cool rear-wing carried out in zero position and fabricated as a complete mono-bloc component. The body kit is rounded out by the new trenchant mirror caps, the "ventilation system" of tailored air-intake and the outlet veneers at the vehicle's flanks.

But the wheels are also important for the looks, aren't they? Hence, there have been added LOMA forged alloys sized 21-inch and fitted with Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires of size 225/35/21" on the front axle and 325/25/21" on the rear axle. At last, H&R-sports spring set completes the magnificent appearance of the 488 GTB.

Behold, our perfect Ferrari has been born! VOS Ferrari 488 Grand Turisme Berlinetta will celebrate its world premiere at the Tuning World Bodensee, starting this Thursday!
