Exciting news from McLaren Automotive! The supersportscars automaker has released the official performance numbers and confirmed pricing of the 650S model, which is set to debut at the Geneva Motor Show in a week!

To go directly to the facts, the latest McLaren accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in only 3.0 seconds, and reaches 200 km/h (124 mph) in 8.4. The Vmax here is 333 km/h (207 mph). Putting it all together, this basically means that the 650S is a full second quicker than the iconic McLaren F1 road car to 200 km/h; as well as half a second quicker than the rapid 12C (0-200 km/h).

The reasons for these figures are several. First of all, the new model sports optimized aerodynamics, enhanced handling, high-speed balance and steering turn-in. They are all result of the improved levels of downforce.

Secondly, although the numbers speak of a sportscar, 650S also boasts a high level of luxury specification, such as carbon ceramic brakes, positioned behind unique ‘650' lightweight alloy wheels matched with Pirelli P Zero Corsa tyres, IRIS satellite navigation with Bluetooth telephony, DAB digital radio in Europe, wireless tethering, audio streaming and voice control.

The cabin is trimmed in Alcantara and also includes fixed-back carbon racing seats, electric steering column adjustment, a rear parking camera and many carbon fibre elements. Despite the aggressive on-road results, the 650S also performs efficiently, returning 24.2 mpg (11.7 l/100 km) on the EU combined cycle, and a CO2 figure of 275 g/km.

McLaren 650S Coupe has a starting price of £195,250, while the Spider's price tag starts at £215,250. You can check out below the listed performance data and technical specifications.
