Audi refines its air filters to deliver us some clean air and fresh drive. Details here!
From June 2016, the compact Audi models will offer some fresh additions to the drivetrain system in order to reduce the harmful emissions and gases. There will be new conditioning filters installed that reduce the environmentally unfriendly gasses. Benefitting from the new filter are the Audi A1, A3, Q3 and TT models.
In fact, the new Audi Q2 compact SUV will be geared with this filter at market launch. Customers can also have their units retrofitted with the new filter as part of the regularly scheduled service intervals.
There are two versions of the filter that will be used, each of which comprises three layers. The thing that makes them handy and special is the new outer carrier layer that includes a special anti-allergen cover. Sweet, right? There is one variant that reduces allergens by means of plant-derived, bioactive substances and otherthat uses modification of the protein structure to achieve the desired effect. There have been independent tests by specialist institutions such as SGS Fresenius and Fatec GmbH that confirm the effectiveness of the new Audi filters. Sweet.
The two remaining layers also make notable contribution in the air quality and freshness of the interior. The filtration layer is made of microfibres and removes even the smallest particulates form the air, while the gaseous impurities are caught in the activated carbon layer.
A comprehensive measurement series documents the high effectiveness of the filter system, while the arrangement of the layers ensures outstanding results.
