2017 Volkswagen PhideonVolkswagen Phideon has debuted globally at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show. However, the new luxury saloon is developed with the aim to be launched on the Chinese market the same year. Its design combines sumptuous elegance with impressive dynamics. Phideon is positioned above the Passat and the Magotan. The five metre saloon car has charismatic front end and will be offered with high-efficiency TSI engines (turbocharged petrol engines) and a plug-in hybrid drive. In Geneva, Volkswagen unveiled the flagship model in the series: the four-wheel drive Phideon 3.0 TSI 4MOTION with 300 PS. In addition, the car was the first Volkswagen to use a camera-based night vision system. The interior is tailored perfectly to the needs of the driver, and features luxurious rear passenger compartment. Phideon was also the first Volkswagen to be based on the Modular Longitudinal Matrix (MLB).
