Wimmer RS, the German aftermarket expert renowned for its high-performance conversions has announced its latest, highly-enhanced vehicle, the Wimmer RS RED DEVIL V. Dubbed with such an exotic name, the Wimmer RS ride is based upon the sporty Volkswagen Golf 6 R and produces the extraordinary 478 horsepower and 610 Nm of maximum torque.

For charging the VW Golf 6 R with output figures from these heights, the specialists at Wimmer RS has retrofitted the ride's 2.0 TFSI unit via an ECU remap, a improved turbocharger, a upgraded air intake system unit as well as a completely handmade high-grade steel 84 mm sports exhaust system with 100 cells sports catalyst converter and a race sport coupling. Thanks to these improvements, the car's Vmax now tops 291 km/h electronically limited, while boasting a power/weight ration of 3,04 kg/hp.

Wimmer's further technology enhancements on the Golf are orientated in improving its road stability: a coil spring set and an optional high-end brake system.

Unfortunately, the price tag for this stunning program is a mystery.
