Subaru Impreza now available with boxer Diesel
Although diesel is contradictory to sport, Subaru will release diesel powered engine for their hot hatch Impreza.
It is Horizontally-opposed engine develops 150 PS and 350Nm (258 ft.lbs) exceptional refinement, flexibility and throttle response and with excellent fuel consumption 47.9 mpg Combined and emissions as low as 155 g/km CO2.
The performance is not something amazing, but it is good enough for everyday driving - 127 mph top speed and 0-62 mph in 9.0 seconds.
Subaru are famous with the awesome handling, which their cars offer. It is not much different in the diesel powered Impreza. It has low centre-of-gravity coupled with Symmetrical All-Wheel drive provides superb handling and traction backed up by the security of Subaru Vehicle Dynamics Control.
The equipment is also very good. It includes 17 inch alloys, HID headlamps with pop-up washers, electrically-folding door mirrors, front projector foglamps, 6CD player with MP3 facility, cruise control, windscreen wiper deicer, climate control and heated sports seats. The engineers took extra care about the safety and they put front, side and curtain airbags.
This diesel engine completes perfectly the range of 3 petrol power units.
