Nissan Driver Alert SystemRight in time for the "Drowsy Driving Awareness Day", Nissan reveals the Driver Attention Alert (DAA), that will be available on two of the brands best eye-catchers: the 2015 Murano crossover and the anticipated 2016 Maxima sedan. Actually, the drowsy driving has been the main subject for a long time for the National Highway Transportation Safety Association and the American Automobile Association. Sadly, there are more than 300,000 crashes a year, that include drowsy and inattentive drivers.

The system is already in the standard pack of the 2015 Murano SL. The DAA  adapts to the driver and monitors the steering and reaction input, which makes a further statistic about the each individual driver and uses that baseline for detecting unusual driver behavior.

The DAA uses technology, that detects road curves, lane changes and even the road conditions. It turns off automatically, when the engine is turned off, but anyone can manually reset it, if desired. In fact, the DAA system only warns the driver, when it notices any lack of attention and cannot control the car. As we know, it is the drivers responsibility to drive safely, not the system.

The revised 2016 Nissan Maxima was shown at the New York International Auto Show and it is planned to go on sale this summer. The other model, the 2015 Murano, is already available for purchase worldwide.

Along with the wonderful safety systems both models stand out to show beautiful styling, that includes the signature V-Motion front end, boomerang lightning and floating roof appearance.
