Lexus LFA will hit the US soon
The new LFA supercar from Lexus just made its global debut at the Tokyo Motor show. This highly anticipated vehicle certainly represent something that you need to see with your own eyes, especially is you are a true race head. But if you don't have the opportunity to visit the Asian show, don't worry, because Lexus plans to showcase the new LFA at the forthcoming - 2009 Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) trade show in Las Vegas this November and the 2009 Los Angeles Auto Show in December.
Lexus is also ready with the LFA supercar display schedule for the next year, which features the North American International Auto Show in Detroit, Chicago Auto Show, Dallas Auto Show and New York International Auto Show.
Lexus LFA super sports car is a true representer and flagship of Lexus performance models. Developed by a small group of hand-picked engineers, the new vehicle combines in itself a mixture of innovative solutions, serious performance and sophisticated design.
"The development of the LFA was unlike any other Lexus," said Mark Templin, Lexus division group vice president and general manager. "Minute details were engineered to provide an engaging and serious supercar that delivers impressive performance on and off the race track. Only 500 will ever be built worldwide, and each will be assembled to customer order, offering a once-in-a-lifetime chance to be part of a small, exclusive group of individuals."
The limited edition LFA sports car is fitted with a specially developed 4.8-liter V10 engine, which generates 552 hp and 354 lb.-ft. of torque, the top speed is 202 mph. Furthermore, the new motorsport Lexus is equipped with a unique six-speed Automated Sequential Gearbox (ASG), lightweight aluminum alloy suspension components, Carbon Ceramic Material (CCM) brake discs, innovative electrically assisted rack and pinion steering system.
