The world premiere of the new Jaguar XE took place at London. The company presents us a saloon car like no other.  Equipped with an advanced aluminium body shell, designed for light weight and stiffness, the aim for the XE is to deliver the efficiency that is so important in the fleet focused executive car market.

Engineered with the most sophisticated suspension and steering systems to rival its German rivals. The rear suspension is probably the most remarkable thing in the Jaguar XE's dynamic package. The integral link system is a first class premium design, made from incredibly strong, yet light aluminium components which provide the stiffness needed for a precise handling.

Whether it's in the city or in a high mountain pass, the XE offers a precise, intuitive, class leading handling. The XE will be the first Jaguar to feature a new advanced electric power assisted steering, along with the latest generation software.

The power train consists of a 161 bhp (120 kW) 2.0-litre diesel that's part of the new, Ingenium engine family. With 380 Nm (280 lb.-ft.) of torque it forms 1,750 rpm. The ride proves not to swallow much fuel with a combined fuel economy somewhere around 75 mpg (3.8-litres/100 km).

The Jaguar company announced there is going to be an even more powerful version of the same diesel model, along with two petrol 2.0-litre engines with different productions. The XE S will be at the top, with the 336 bhp 3.0-litre supercharged V6; it should reach 0-60 mph (96 kph) in just 4.9 seconds.

The Jaguar XE sets new standards for ride, handling and steering. It will be the first Jaguar to run on new in control touch infotainment system with a new 8-inch touchscreen. Incontrol apps can be all accessed with a touch of the screen. Passengers can also make use of the in-car wifi hot spots, which allows multiple devices to connect to the internet on the best possible mobile connection, using a roof antena.

One astonishing feature of the XE is plane speech voice control, with which you can directly access any level in the system just by speaking, removing the trouble of working with lots of confusing menus. XE will also come up with an option head up display; a high contrast, laser projected color system which displays driver information directly onto the windscreen, without causing distraction. It can be configured to show a wide range of information. A Meridian Premium Audio - One of the finest systems on the market today, provides an opportunity to enjoy music to its fullest.

An exciting new feature is a new incontrol smartphone app which enables you to connect with your XE and operate features such as climate control, and you can do this from anywhere in the world.

The car also comes as a set of safety and security features such as: "In control protect" and "In control -secure". "Protect" provides an integrated S.O.S emergency call and an optimized Jaguar assistance call which does not require having a mobile phone in the car. "Incontrol secure" allows pro-active monitoring for your XE. Should it be stolen, a tracking services cooperates with the law enforcement authorities to locate and recover the vehicle.

Overall, Jaguar shows us one exceptionally advanced car equipped with state-of-the-art technology. The new XE is an advanced step forward, you will want to own.
