Chrysler 200S and 300S Alloy Editions Front and Rear ViewChrysler has just announced that it is going to debut special editions of the 200S and 300S models at the Chicago Auto Show. The uniquely styled cars are called Alloy Editions and they exude natural warmth and energy, and commanding brilliance through their unique bronze and titanium finishes. The special editions have been inspired by Detroit's local artisans who continue to push design and ingenuity in new directions.What is more, both cars can be equipped with Chrysler's innovative all-wheel-drive (AWD) system.

Based on the 2016 Chrysler 200S, this particular variant features blacked-out details that highlight the clean lines and expressive surfaces of the model. It is visible that the design of the 200S Alloy Edition is a blend of industrial inspired colors and materials.

Precisely, the grille and headlamps have Mobius strip-inspired design, which in turn have been "touched" with a dynamic grille texture contributing for a unique 3-D effect. All of this is amplified with Dark Bronze paint on the Mobius strip upper and lower grille surrounds.

We see Gloss Black accents almost everywhere. Together with the daylight opening (DLO) moldings, they play crucial role with the 19-inch Dark Bronze aluminum wheels. We can't skip the Dark Bronze "200S" badge on the rear decklid, which shows the exclusivity of the Alloy Edition model. In addition, the Chrysler wing badge includes Titanium touches and the same design approach has been applied to the dual exhaust tips.

Optional Mopar Exterior Pack

More athletic styling can be achieved with the optional Mopar exterior package, which will be factory-installed. It includes aggressive front chin spoiler, taller side sills with rear side sill extensions and rear valance.

Stepping inside the 200S Alloy Edition, we see how the designers have transferred the general theme. Actually the car will be offered with a choice of a Black cloth with leather trim, or Black leather seating, each of which will have Caramel accent stitching on the seats, center arm rest and door trim panels.

The exclusivity of the model is highlighted via the Black and Caramel stitching "S" embroidered on the front sport-contoured seats. To add even more uniqueness, the Piano Black is contrasted with Titanium-finished accents on the door trim panels, center console, outboard air vents and Chrysler wing badge steering wheel.

Chrysler 300S has been used as a basis for the Alloy Edition, which features prominent grille finished in Dark Bronze and Gloss Black dimensional textured grille fitted with a Titanium-finished Chrysler wing badge. Gloss Black has been used for the headlamps and body color mirror caps. Adding t the exclusivity is the Mobius strip in Dark Bronze, which outlines the lower grille opening and surrounds the LED fog lamps.

The Gloss Black DLO moldings are paired with 20-inch Dark Bronze alloys. At the rear the stance of the car is made more powerful via the Titanium-plated Chrysler wing badge and Dark Bronze-finished "300S" badge, which also signifies the exclusivity of the model. In addition, a Titanium-plated exhaust tips contribute for the athletic appearance. Rounding out the contemporary look are LED tail lamps with a Gloss Black accent and a body color rear fascia accent trim.

The cabin of the Chrysler 300S Alloy Edition is no less exclusive. In fact it adds luxury with the unique design elements and authentic materials like the Black Nappa leather with Caramel accent stitching on the sport-contoured heated front seats, rear seats, instrument cluster bezel, steering wheel and armrests.

More accents are added with the Titanium paired with Piano Black on the interior center stack, instrument panel, steering wheel, gauge cluster and door panel. Rounding-out the interior is a new instrument panel clock with its dark-colored analog face and Piano Black bezel.

Tuned Suspension, HEMI V8 and Aero Styling

Those who always want more of their cars have the opportunity to opt for rear-wheel-drive handling capability, new performance-tuned suspension with increased spring rates, performance-tuned steering and bushings, larger sway bars and Goodyear Eagle F1 Three-season tires.

In terms of performance, they can change the standard 300-horsepower (220 kW) 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 engine mated to a TorqueFlite eight-speed transmission with Sport mode and paddle shifters, with the 363-horsepower (267 kW) 5.7-liter HEMI V-8 engine with four-cylinder mode Fuel Saver Technology which also comes with uniquely sculpted side sills and deck lid spoiler.

An Advanced AWD

For customers who want the best of style and performance and even more all-weather traction, the new 2016 Chrysler 200S AWD Alloy Edition and 300S AWD Alloy Edition models include an advanced AWD system that delivers traction to all four wheels when necessary. The AWD can electronically adjust back to two-wheel drive for maximum fuel efficiency.

If one opts for the Chrysler 200S AWD Alloy Edition, then he or she will get an upgraded 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 engine with 295 horsepower (217 kW) and 355 Nm (262 lb-ft) of torque. On the other hand, the Chrysler 300S AWD Alloy Edition comes with the 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 engine coupled with TorqueFlite eight-speed transmission and the segment's most innovative AWD system for up to 27 miles per gallon on the highway.

Both 2016 Chrysler 200S and 300S Alloy Editions are going to be offered in five exterior body colors, including Gloss Black Clear Coat, Black Forest Green Pearl Coat, Redline Tri-coat Pearl, Granite Crystal Metallic Clear Coat and Bright White Clear Coat. They will be premiered at the Chicago Auto Show and will be arriving at dealerships this spring. The 200S Alloy Edition will have a starting price of $26,685 USD, while the 30S Alloy Edition is priced at $35,965 USD.
