People in USA know some things and especially how to create drag-racing vehicles. That's why, Chevrolet has developed a special series vehicle – COPO Camaro, which is for drag-racing use. Of course, the vehicle can be run on the streets, but it is not recommended at all.

Chevrolet COPO Camaro is powered by a supercharged 5.3 liter V8 engine featuring 4.0 liter Whipple supercharger. Nothing is mentioned about the overall power, but the car managed to stop the clock at 8.88 seconds and ¼ mile run.

Chevrolet previously mentioned that the recently introduced COPO Camaro is capable of doing the ¼ mile run in less than 9 seconds, and now we have proof that it can do it.

The engine range features also a naturally-aspirated V8 7.0 liter power unit and a 5.3-liter V8 with a 2.9 liter supercharger. All three engines are mated to a Powerglide automatic gearbox that was specially developed for drag racing.

The vehicle is available with a choice of 5 colors - Ashen Grey Metallic, Silver Ice Metallic, Victory Red, Summit White and Flat Black. Chevy plans to create only 69 units this year, with prices starting from $89,000
