At the upcoming Auto Shanghai 2011, Chevrolet has officially confirmed that its iconic Camaro model is about get publicly premiered.

The 2011 Chevrolet Camaro is also about to get a new name for the Chinese market - Ke Mai Luo, which undoubtedly sounds  near to ‘Camaro', but is more Asian-like.

The Chevrolet Ke Mai Luo is expected to enter the Chinese market with a price tag of approximately RMB 500,000, but its specifications, amenities and safety technology are still to be announced.

Its very likely that the Chinese Camaro will benefit from Chevrolet's 3.6-liters SIDI High-Feature V6 power unit, which was named one of the World's Ten Best Engines by "Ward's Auto" in 2008 and 2009, yet is rated to the extreme 312 horsepower at 6500 revolutions and 278 lb-ft of torque at 5100 rpm.

Chevrolet expects that its new addition on the Chinese will become a true best-seller, as it boasts an extraordinary modern American design, high-performance and intelligent technology.
