2010 Volkswagen Caddy will make its debut at IAA Hanover
2010 Volkswagen Caddy and Caddy Maxi will make its official debut at this September's IAA Hanover Commercial Vehicle show and arrival in UK Volkswagen Van Centres in November.
The previous Caddy was exceptionally successful with over 800 000 units sold during 6 years of production. The new Caddy range promises to be more economical to run, with more safety features, enhanced quality and refinement, plus improved environmental credentials.
The famous TDI engine range are up to 13 per cent more fuel-efficient. 2010 Caddy will be powered by 1.6 litre TDI with either 75PS or 102PS and 2.0 litre TDI producing 110PS or 140 PS. The engines meet EU5 standard levels of emissions. Volkswagen Caddy will include the seven-speed DSG gearbox and 4MOTION four-wheel drive as an options.
BlueMotion Technology uses Start/Stop and battery regeneration systems, so the fuel consumption is perfect - up to 57 mpg and emission of only 129g/km. This means, that you can go up to 735 miles on a single tank of fuel.
The safety in new Caddy is granted by the Electronic Stabilisation Programme (ESP) coming as standard on every model. Other new safety features include daytime running function for the headlights and automatic activation of the hazard lights under emergency braking.
The 7-seat Caddy Maxi Life model will be renamed the Caddy Maxi MPV. More details and price list will be available next month.
